The Things that Little Boys Have to Deal With When They Have a Sister

"Here you look dapper in a crown" Sawyer Buddy looked cold so Ali put a scarf on him after he got out of the bathtub.
What a great big sis!

Winter Olympics Trials

One of our local parks has a great sledding hill. Curt and Ali went on Sunday afternoon after church. It is really neat cause the park district builds a big fire in an old hollow boiler so you can take a break and get warm. A bystander thought Curt and Ali were so cute that she took pictures of them then emailed them to Curt.

Allison Update: 1-10-10

Curt here: I know a lot of friends from IL, PSU buddies, C-burg, Chapel ABF, Work, etc. have been using this blog to keep updated with Allison and we appreciate the concerns and prayers. Some folks have recently asked how she is doing and I realized that I really only put Ali updates here when things are going tough...We'll right now we're in a season of good news in that we are still seizure free since that round of 10 in a row there after Halloween time. Further, we have been SLOWLY decreasing the one medication (the one that is causing the behavioral/sleeping issues) and over the past month and a half, with a few exceptions, we are seeing a drastic improvement in the behavioral side-effects and her night sleeping habits. We are down to 1 and 1 (that is, 1 ml in AM and 1 ml in PM) from a max of 3 and 3 back with all of the crazy side-effects...so far no seizures from the decrease in that particular medication. the goal is to get totally off that one and rely on the other one she is on to keep the seizures at bay. Thanks for everyone's prayers and concerns and keep praying that we can move to be fully off of this one med here in the next month or so and still remain seizure free. Thanks guys!, Wagner Family...

Ice Ice Baby

Portage Lakes, Summit Co. Ohio - Jan. 9, 2010
Certainly the earliest in the year I've ever starting fishing. I finally live in an area north enough to get predictable enough weather to become an ice-fisherman! So, thanks to my brother-in-law Mitch's kind Christmas gift to me, I have myself the basic gear needed for ice-fishing. I went today with Ken - a co-worker, and his brother for about 3 hours. Fishing was fair.
Again with the Wagner smiles...? Sure beats the recliner. All I need now is a battery operated TV to catch the wildcard games!
We decided from the start to keep everything. Well, here is 'everything' with a 4" folded leatherman for comparison! I'll have to go a few more times to supplement this hefty catch! And yes, I did get good fillets from them all!

The End Product: You can't say I don't put food on the table for my family!

Bringing in the New Year with a Bang

Following a long-standing Wagner male tradition, I didn't smile for this picture! Why? I guess I'd say it was either the -5 F wind chill that day and my face was frozen in place or it was the unexpected snap of the timer. Either way, Greg and Ken didn't have that problem. So I guess I don't have much of an excuse. For those of you who dig rabbit hunting (I know there are SO many of you!), it was a fantastic day with 14 flushes and 5 in the bag...without a dog. Looking back, we really should have had at least 7 or 8 in the bag, but yours truly decided to show off his 'amazing' shot-gunning skills for the guys. A good day with good friends.

Total Boy

Sawyer is one funny guy. He is always happy and a "total boy". He is quietly into everything. He can now say, "Mama", "Dada", "Alweee" and "Hi". He is climbing stairs and managed to escape out of his exersaucer yesterday. It was awesome. He was completely on his head before he shock totally loose, just fell out and laughed. We cracked up. He is soooo much fun!

So Cute Yet So Gross
