Jam Session with a "Rock Star"

We like to jam out here at our house. This morning Ali wanted a "rock star dress" and a sweatshirt cause she was "chilwee". So we put that on and cranked up the tunes. Sawyer was holding his own for backup vocals. This is Ali's "biolin". The spatula also doubles for a guitar when we need it.

Feel the emotion when she gets on stage

Doing Well

Ali is doing well. She is back to her old self with no evidence of last weeks incident. I don't even think she really knows what happened. She was seen by her regular pediatrician for a follow up and looked great. All tests that were done are normal. The pediatrician said chances are higher that she will never have another seizure again than she will. I am praying for those stats with her. We follow up with the ped neurologist again in Sept. We have to be extra careful around water and heights, other than that she is to be treated like a "normal" kid. We have installed a "nanny cam" to watch and listen to her at night. Thanks for your prayers. Keep praying for no more seizures for Ali and for Curt and I to completely trust God in the matter of caring for our children.

Prayers for our Family Please

We had a scare on Sunday afternoon at home: Ali went limp and just sort of blanked out into a stare and we needed to call 911. By the time the ambulance arrived (very quickly) she had snapped out of it but was very clingy and tired acting. They took her to the ER at Akron's Children and while seemingly getting back to normal in the ER she had a more traditional seizure-type event and was admitted. Over the course of the next 12 hours, they did a CT, EEG, and EKG - all coming back normal (a praise). We had a consult with a pediatric neurologist who described these two events as seizure like activity, but not able to be clinically diagnosed as such because no supporting evidence came back from the EEG (no way to pin-point problem or direct potential treatment). She was discharged last night with instructions for us to keep a close watch on her and instruction on what to do in the event another seizure occurs. Basically, we may be either at the start of identifying some type of seizure disorder, or alternatively (and hopefully) it may have been a fluke neurological event that never happens again. Please pray for (1) the Lord's hand of protection on Allison to protect her from seizures and/or negative outcomes from them and (2) comfort for Sara and I through this and for us to trust in the Lord's protection of his children - especially at night as we necessarily aren't able to watch her every second - this is the time we feel most nervous and especially need to let go and trust God.

PSU Football

Getting ready for the PSU Football Season with a change of backround. Don't be mistaken...the yellow is not implying that we like PITT in any way shape or form. A Nittany Lion can take down a panther any day! WE ARE...PENN STATE! Love Ya Lions!

Smiley Guy

My little fella is so happy. He is doing so well. He has 2 teeth. Trying to crawl so hard, he can get himself all over a room, but can't seem to get the coordination down for a purposeful crawl yet. He will not sit. It is like he purposefully flops over so he can practice crawling. He loves eating. So far he is not a big fan of peas. These were Allison's fav. He loves green beans though which Ali didn't like. He is such a sweet heart. Next week we go to the Dr. for his 6 month check up and shots. I am guessing he is close to 15.5 pounds if not more. I LOVE THIS KID!

Kids Say the Cutest Things

Ali has been saying so many cute and funny things lately...they include the following:
"Mommy, I love you cause you are so clean."
"Oh let me bring you some privacy." (Then she closes the bathroom door)
"I love daddy in my heart, cause he is a handsome prince."
"I am going to the store to get my little buddy diapers, cause he poops alot."
Here she is with her prince charming now.

Pixie Dust Spreader on the Tilt-a-Whirl

Or maybe barking for the yak women. Curt is a carnie. You may say, "No Sara he is a fish biologist". No, all this weekend he was a carnie at the Ohio State Fair. I missed him and can't wait for him to return. We was working at the Natural Resourses Campus helping kids learn how to fish. A hot fishy job. He loves kids, but I think he would rather be on the water working with musky any day.

So Long Crown Vic

We sold the Crown Vic yesterday. What a blessing. It was the first person that looked at it! Curt had off yesterday and was able to show it and sell it all in one day. So painless it wasn't funny. When the buyer asked if we would negotiate, Curt said yes. The buyer only came down $95! This was way better than we thought we would get out of this car!!!! You served us well Crown vic...thanks for a good ride.

Felix Five Visit

Todd & Betsy and their 3 kiddos came to visit this past weekend! What a blast. We played the kids so hard they were begging for mercy. Fishing, swimming, walks and trips to the park.
Big Doctor in a little tube. (You can't tell from the picture, but Todd is at least 6'5")
